Sanglang
The Perlis Maritime Corridor project was approved by the State Government of Perlis in May 2017. This project will be located along the coast of Sanglang until Simpang Ampat, Kuala Perlis.
This project is expected to create 5,000 job opportunities and is expected to be the catalyst for development in Sanglang, as well as the Perlis Inland Port (PIP) in Chuping Valley.
The project shall be developed in phases as follows:-
- Phase 1: consists of private jetty jetty development stretching 3.4 km from the coast.
- Phase 2: additional 2 km private jetty development stretching towards Straits of Malacca & 8 km development from Sungai Padang to Simpang Ampat.
