BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT PERLIS
Perlis is the smallest state in Malaysia, located northwest
of Peninsular Malaysia. It is flanked by Thailand in the north, and by
Kedah to the east and south. Perlis consists of three Parliaments: Kangar,
Padang Besar, and Arau.
The capital of Perlis is Kangar, and the royal capital is Arau. Perlis also has a significant town
which is Padang Besar, at the Malaysia-Thailand border. Kuala Perlis is also known for its specialties
as the ferry town to Langkawi. Though Perlis is considered the smallest state in Malaysia, Perlis
still strives for development as Pauh Putra has been introduced as a developed area for
industrial purposes.
